Seema gave the class these Key Words: Passionate/Romantic, Cold/Cruel and Eccentric/Decay. The ones highlighted in Red are the ones I chose. I chose these Key Words as I personally felt they would be more interesting and inspiring to research as appose to the others that were given. I found that just by looking at each of the Key Words I chose, my mind created thoughts and ideas before I had even researched. To log my mood board and thought process we were asked to create folders on our Pinterest's and pin any inspiration we felt best described the Key Words chosen.
I found it really interesting looking at the hair shapes and textures when I was researching, it's amazing what effect the hair has when you start adding emotions in to the picture.
I have chosen an image for each of my Key Words where I feel the Hair best represents the word.
PASSIONATE
I felt that the above picture to me, best represented the Key Word Passionate, because of the colour, the movement, and the intensity. The colour is red, vibrant and warm, all of which describes passion. The colour Red can represent love, a heart and sex. The movement in the hair really stood out to me, someone with passion has drive, motivation and a need to keep moving, to keep going. I love how the hair portrays this. The hair in the picture to me has an intensity to it, it speaks volumes!
CRUEL
Here, the above picture to me represents the Key Word Cruel. The hair is extremely matted and tangled, you could imagine that someone who is less fortunate might have hair like this. Someone who is homeless, a convict etc.
DECAY
I adore this picture. I feel that this could represent passion as well. The intensity in the women's body language and her pose is really intriguing. It makes you want to know the story behind the picture. Her hair and her clothes look like they are falling off of her. Melting away. As if they were decaying. Maybe there is some sort of evil in her and the man with the skull for a head is lusting over her?
