Steps- Bruising
·         Start with lighter colour which would be yellow
·         Go right up to the edges of the eye
·         Blob yellow colour using finger tips
·         Mix in a bit of yellow and moisturiser
·         Use eye socket
·         Get model to open and close eyes when needed
·         To finish off the make-up look blend in a red line right up on to the water line, this will make it look sore
·         Use back of hand or a pallet for mixing colours
·         Using a smaller brush, dib dab the bruising on the areas you want it
·         Get right in to the corners and creases thinking about where it would be darker /shadows
·         Add slowly the colours
·         Using fingertips are good as they are warm and they warm up the product allowing you to create/manipulate
·         Getting a spatula and holding it correctly put wax on the back of your hand and warm up then spread lightly on to the face making sure it is even. You can build wax up
·         Blend away the edges
·         You can make it as deep or thin as you like depending on the cut you want
·         Wipe knife and make your cut
·         Using a baby cotton bud, dip in to sealor and cover the wax on face
·         Make your cut
·         Wait for sealor to dry and make sure it’s not sticky
·         Using a hair pin use wound filler and create blood effect however you desire
·         You can go underneath the wax or pick at it
·         You can put coffee grounds in it- makes it look deep/adds depth
·         You can add fake blood on desired areas
·         You can use cotton pads as a puffer if you don’t want to mess your own up
·         You can powder as it may look shiny
·         You can use a black stipple brush to create scratches or a hair pin works really well

If using latex on the face use Kryolan
You can get different colours of was for different coloured skin
Think about when the bruise happened- How did it happen? 1 week? 2 weeks? 1 day?
Brusing comes form with in the skin out
How did the person hurt themselves? Grazed? Spike? Knife? What was the size of the knife? – Common Sense
Young cuts are bright red, older cuts are darker
Always add liquids on the actual shoot
Think about grass stains/grit etc.
Put cuts on first before make-up
You could add tears/smudge mascara/put blood in the hair
This work is Leonie's! We ran out of time but I will do this in my own time.
