Sue- Fever/Illness/Rash

Products used:
1.       Glycerine
2.       Supra Pallet
3.       Duo
4.       Latex
5.       Kryolan tear stick
6.       Stipple Sponge
7.       Make up brushes
8.       Cape
9.       Hair dryer

Steps
·         Wash hands
·         Tie back hair and put cape on
·         Put mirror lights on
·         Use small pointy brush for delicate work around the eyes
·         Mix moisturiser with supra pallet this makes the product look realistic
·         Blend hard edges
·         Think about where people look as if they are tired
·         Don’t take tired all the way down the cheeks as this doesn’t happen
·         Using clean fingers apply colours
·         Add colour gently
·         Dab colour on with fingers if needed
·         Be careful that you don’t make it look rouge
·         Think about detail- ears, neck, down the body
·         Allergy rash could just be on chest
·         Make sure you add rash on to forehead and nose
·         Add rash to hairline
·         Make it uneven so that it looks realistic
·         Make lip look slightly blue but don’t make them look gothic
·         Add a sore bit in corner of lip
·         Use duo to create dry skin- dab on with sponge, wait for it to dry or use hairdryer
·         While its drying gently dab with finger  to create texture and slightly rough it up
·         You can add colour on the top of latex/duo and also underneath
·         If using latex use hair dryer to dry
·         You can stretch the skin right back and add latex to create wrinkly skin etc.
·         Don’t forget detail on hands if they are being used in shot
·         If you have a fever you tend to be hot and shiny
·         Add red line under eye to show tiredness/sore
·         You can add blood over sores/dry patches as they could be so dry that they bleed- dab with either a fine brush of cotton bud/finger tip
·         Grease paint/products sink in to the skin
·         Use black stipple sponge and poor a small amount of Glycerine in to your pallet and use sponge to stipple on to desired/sweaty areas
·         Use Glycerine to create tears running down face etc.
·         After you have finished go back and add more colour on to rashy areas if needed, take a picture and see how it looks
Latex Process
·         Stretch clean skin, you can make up underneath
·         The further you stretch the skin the more wrinkly it will go
·         Triangular sponges are good to cover area
·         Feather out/blend edges, go for thinner edges, don’t go over same area
·         Dry with cool hair dryer
·         Latex when dry is shiny so use powder over the top to make more realistic
Some notes to consider
·         Think about what has happened to the person you are doing the rash on
·         What are the symptoms?
·         What stage is rash/illness at?
·         Blotchy skin- blood vessels near surface of the skin open up
·         Need to mix/get right colour of the blotchiness
·         Use finger tips to blend/put make up on at times
